Educational Background
Mr. Bowser was born in Pennsylvania and is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State
University (B.A. English, 1996). Mr. Bowser graduated Magna Cum Laude from the
Willamette University College of Law (J.D. Magna Cum Laude, 2001).
Articles and Activities
During law school, Mr. Bowser was an Associate Editor of the Willamette Law
Review and the Editor of the United States Supreme Court News, Willamette Law
Online.
Mr. Bowser is the author of "Hey, That's My Tree!"- An Analysis of the Good-Faith
Contract Logger Exemption from the Double and Treble Damage Provisions of Oregon's
Timber Trespass Action, published in the Spring 2002 edition of the Willamette
Law Review.
Awards and Honors
Mr. Bowser was admitted into the Oregon State Bar and the United States District
Court, District of Oregon in 2001. He began his legal career at the Oregon Department
of Justice, where he was accepted into the Honors Attorney Program and assigned
to the Commercial and Environmental Litigation Section.
Under the guidance and supervision of William F. Cloran, Mr. Bowser received
intensive introduction in general litigation tactics and procedure. He received
the Department of Justice Outstanding Service Award on July 17, 2002.
